Portion Size, Then Vs. Now

I was lucky enough to spend a fabulous 3 weeks in China a few years ago. I adored the people I met and cherish the places I was lucky enough to visit. When I was there, in one city I visited, one of my hosts said to me, "You are not fat, I thought all Americans are fat." I tried to explain that not everyone ate fast food everyday but it found it pretty disturbing that we had the reputation as overeaters.
